Live at the Archway: Sixpoint Art Show
Live at the Archway season sponsor Sixpoint hosted its first annual Sixpoint Art Show on Aug 11th, featuring artwork submissions from artists and fans that show what “Beer Is Culture” means to them. Sixpoint knows that the right beer at the right time can inspire people to create unique pieces of artwork. The event was part Art Show and part fan-driven competition, with top finalists winning cash prizes of up to $1,000 and the grand prize winner also getting their artwork on a limited release Small Batch can.
Sixpoint brought me out to The Archway in Dumbo, Brooklyn to share my Light Bath project with guests. I created Sixpoint-inspired designs/patterns highlighting their iconic six-pointed star and projected them onto folks who entered my installation. When attendees enter they are covered in my vibrant art, essentially giving them an armor of artwork. This process gives folks a little boost of confidence when posing for photos and aids in helping people to feel strong and confident in their bodies. It was a blast getting to be a part of this inaugural Sixpoint Art Show.
